Running for Internal Vice President

 

Hello fellow Bobcats!

 

My name is Huber Munoz and I am running for Internal Vice President of ASUCM.  I am a second year student with a major in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. This year I had the honor and privilege of serving as one of your AS Senators. I am also the treasurer of the UC Merced College Democrats and a brother of the Lambda Delta chapter of Sigma Chi. In the past I was also involved with the External Office where I served as the Legislative Liaison and a board member of the University of California Student Association (UCSA. Through the course of this year, serving as a Senator I had the opportunity to work/ collaborate with clubs and organizations to provide new and once in a lifetime opportunities for UC Merced students, while also continuing my advocacy for student issues on campus. 

 

As Internal Vice President of ASUCM I would bring in my past experiences as a Senator and my knowledge of ASUCM to continue moving the organization forward so that it works best for students. I am a strong believer that a strong and efficient Senate can have the most impact on not only our clubs and organizations but also the entire campus. Therefore, one of my main priorities as Internal Vice President would be to properly train and provide resources to Senators so they have the tools needed and leadership to better serve the students that elected them. By having the proper training and resources Senators and other members of the organization will be able to start tackling and advocating for issues that are important to students at our campus and even at a state wide level.
