Running for Senator, School of Natural Sciences

 

Hello Bobcats,

 

My name is Johnny Yang and I am a third year Molecular Biology major. I am seeking an elected position within ASUCM as one of YOUR School of Natural Sciences, Senators.

 

I am from Fresno, California and an alumni of Fresno High School. I am the first in my family to attend a 4-year university. I currently work as an AVID tutor for Mitchell Senior junior high in Atwater. I am passionate about helping our generation to strive and succeed. Therefore, I am devoted to volunteering and giving back within the community. I am also an active member of the Hmong Student Association and the Omega Leo Club and serve as an Inter-Club Council (ICC) representative for both organizations.

 

I am running for Natural Science Senator because I want to represent the entire student body. I want to make sure everybody is on the same page whether it be about funding processes or national student issues. Transparency of the Associated Students of UCM is something that I will be working on. I also want to ensure that all avenues of funding for clubs and organizations are well-known.
